The weight of an upcoming decision feels heavy, especially when we try to carry it alone.

Paul wrote to a community learning to live out their faith in the middle of ordinary friction. He didn't suggest we retreat into silence for all the answers. Instead, he points to the message of Christ dwelling among us richly, as we teach and admonish one another with wisdom. In our own weeks, clarity often feels like a private puzzle to solve at midnight. But sometimes, the wisdom we need for that hard conversation or that major decision is sitting right next to us, in the breakroom or across the dinner table, waiting to be shared. Lord, today I bring before you the people I work alongside and live beside. I pray for the colleague facing an uncertain review, for the friend wrestling with a broken relationship, and for the family member carrying a silent, heavy burden. Let your wisdom dwell richly in their hearts. Give them patience in their waiting, quiet strength for their next step, and the grace to receive counsel from an unexpected source. Be their anchor this week. As we mov...

The list is long, the spirit is short, and Monday already feels worn thin.

Our eyes drift so easily to what is missing. The empty pantry, the unpaid invoice, the unkind word. But James points us upward. "Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows." He is steady. Sometimes, I forget that. It means your footing is anchored in something deeper than your current energy levels or the mood of your Monday morning. Sometimes, the most faithful thing you can do is simply hold your ground. You don't have to have all the answers by Thursday. You don't have to fix every broken dynamic at work or at home. You just have to remain. When the pressure mounts and your own strength feels like a fraying rope, standing is an act of trust. It is a quiet declaration that your stability comes from a source that doesn't tire, doesn't panic, and doesn't clock out. ...
